ABOUT OUT OF CHICAGO

Extraordinary places. Shared experiences.

Out of Chicago brings photographers together to explore extraordinary places, learn alongside inspiring instructors, and find their photography community.

Our conferences combine hands-on photography in the field with personal guidance, creative exploration, and time to connect. You’ll photograph in small groups, discover different perspectives, and develop your own way of seeing.

From sweeping landscapes to the smallest details of a garden, each experience is an invitation to grow as a photographer—and share the adventure with people who love photography as much as you do.

What Our Attendees Say

I was impressed by the generous sharing of time, techniques, and tips from the instructors. What stood out most was that they weren’t there to shoot for themselves; they were fully present to teach, support, and give to the attendees.

Cynthia Out of Chicago Botanic Garden

I walked away with new skills, fresh inspiration, and a collection of stunning bird images that I’m incredibly proud of. This was, without a doubt, one of the most valuable photography experiences I’ve ever had.

Kim Out of Merritt Island

There's no shortage of awesome locations and photography. But the real secret of Out of Chicago? It's the community and people. You'll learn a ton, get the right balance of cheering and criticism, and make a lot of friends.
